I wrote this on February 10, 2015. This incident happen on February 3, 2015. It is about me and my Good Samaritans. I am very thankful for the Good Samaritans that are in my life. I thank the good Lord for them. I pray God blesses all the Good Samaritans in the world for their kind hearts because someone needed them in a time of need.
I want to take the time and praise God for the Good Samaritans Mom And I were blessed with last week.
Tuesday of last week, I felt better from a sickness I had so Mom and I decided we wouldn’t cancel our plans for the day. (Which basically was to go have lunch with a friend and grocery shopping)
I pulled in our friends driveway and Mom and I waited for our friend Phyllis to come out. When Phyllis came out, I started to feel hot and have problems with my breathing. I let Mom and Phyllis know it would be a while before we left the driveway because of the problem I was having. I got the problem under control. I started to back the car out of the driveway. I tried a few times to get us out of the driveway but couldn’t. We were stuck because of the snow.
Phyllis’ neighbor came over to help. So the three of us got out of the car and let the neighbor help to get the car out of the driveway. The neighbor didn’t have much luck getting the car out either.
Phyllis’ son who lived across the street from her came to help. During this time my breathing problem came back. I had to ask for an ambulance. Phyllis went into her house and called the ambulance. The 911 person was prompting them to get me inside the house. I couldn’t get my breathing under control. I was leaning over Phyllis’ car. I was feeling moving would make it worst, I couldn’t get into the house out of the cold like Mom, Phyllis and Phyllis’ son were prompting me to do. Phyllis’ son, David, brought a blanket and towel out of the house. He wrapped the towel around my hands and draped the blanket around me while we waited for the ambulance, trying to keep me warm.
I won’t go into details about the paramedics but mention another Good Samaritan named George. He is Phyllis’ oldest son and my sister’s boyfriend. George brought Mom to the hospital to come a see me while I was in there. He took me home when I was discharge Friday evening and taken me to Walgreens to get the prescriptions filled. I pray God blesses them all for their help during a trying time.
