The day before I put up the post “Something To Think On” was the first time I listened to Mandisa’s song “We Bleed The Same”. The song took me back to a memory of a march in Orlando I was in with my ex-husband. It was a praise of God march. There wasn’t just Assembly Of God church that my ex and I went to at the march. There was Catholics, Baptist, Methodist, and others there. No one was quarreling but having a blessed time of walking, fellowshipping, and praising God. I remembered some people were giving out tracks too. It was a great event.
After that memory I thought of the three year old who shot in his stroller in Chicago. I rhought of others in Chicago and other places who were being killed for no other reason but pure hatred. It is the way I saw some of those crimes, The rioters who had no respect for other people, business owners, or their things.
To this day I still wonder why “Black Lives Matter” never went to march against the senseless killing of the black future generation or their people in Chicago. Yea I thought that because our future generation has the right to live to see their potential. Innocence shouldn’t be dying for a agenda. People shouldn’t be dying because someone wants to see how it feels to kill someone or the cause of hatred. Man, I got stop stepping on my soapbox here.
Well-anyway-I came up with the idea marching for brotherhood and peace for the post of “Something To Think On” because of Mandisa’s song “We Bleed The Same”.
Dear God, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask, dear Lord, that You unite us like lionesses on a hunt. We ask for strength and courage of lion to fight for what is right and to fight for those who can’t. We ask for a roar of a lion that will make our enemies tremble and run. Help us to stand like lion to say “enough is enough”, “no more”, “you can’t have no more territory”, “give back what you stolen”, “ROAR”. Give us love of a lioness has for her cub to love and to help others. Dear God, we give you praise and thanks for answering our prayers. We also give a hallelujah for the things You done in the past and will do in the future. Thank You for being a loving God. In Jesus Precious Name Amen.
