The phrase was spoken by Gandhi. I believe Gandhi spoke the words to let people of any level of society know they can make difference. It lets one know if they see corruption in their government they can protest it or run for the government office to make a difference for their people. It lets one know, who has a caring heart, they can help the poor in their little world or go out into the world like Mother Theresa. They can mentor others to make a difference. Who knows the person that is mentor might be the next Winston Churchill, Ronald Reagan, or an encourager for the next generation.
The Bible shows examples of people like I mentioned above that made a difference: Esther, King Josiah, Tabitha, Moses, Abraham, Ruth, Paul … Read about them and be inspired.
