Does Not Say Welcome And Follow Me

Question Person

Call me old fashion, a prude, or whatever but a picture of a person with two middle fingers standing boldly up on a Twitter or Facebook home page does not say welcome and follow to me. It tells me to f*** off and get lost. I couldn’t even say I was impressed but turned off. I couldn’t follow someone who tells me to f*** off before I follow them. What do you think?

    1. This morning I got a follow from a fellow. I went to his page to see what he was about before I followed him. The first thing I saw was a picture of a male holding two hands up with the middle finger standing up. I was immediately turned off from following him.

      1. Ahhhh, yes. What I dislike even more are companies who follow and then when you visit their page they are just selling something. It’s a conversion attempt. That irks me. Just have to accept that those things will happen and not follow back. There is absolutely no reason you should feel you have to follow someone just because they followed you. Engage in polite discussion if it’s called for, but leave well enough alone. 🙂

      2. Funny, your comment reminds me of this guy a friend was dating once. He was in his mid thirties at the time and when you showed up at his apartment he had a big poster of an Apache Helicopter on his front door. I felt the adversarial nature of his being immediately. Never went there again. What a negative guy— mistaking assertiveness with aggression.

      3. I use to work with three brothers in a factory. The two younger one I enjoyed talking to. They were nice. The oldest seemed nice but I kept getting the heeby jeebys from him. It was like I was getting a warning from God about him.

      4. I have a different spiritual background than you, however I agree, we are provided for if we are listening.
